SAP specialist Aiden acquires Belgian SAP boutique Nessi

First international acquisition on a growth path to becoming a leading Western European SAP service provider

Aiden, SAP and Mendix specialist and managed services provider for the midmarket, has acquired the Belgian SAP boutique Nessi. Nessi has 35 employees and has a strong reputation as an SAP expert on the Belgian market with clients such as Cofinimmo, Colruyt and AG Real Estate. Employing over 350 specialists, Aiden is one of the most important SAP partners in the Netherlands and wants to achieve this position in Belgium through distinctive and affordable SAP services. The acquisition of Nessi is the next step in realizing Aiden’s ambition to become the leading SAP service provider in Western Europe.

Nessi was founded 7 years ago by Kris Deroo and specializes in SAP S/4HANA. It was a logical step for Deroo to join forces with Aiden: “We now have more scale and innovative power to serve our Belgian and Luxembourg customers with even more expertise and solutions. We notice that, in addition to SAP S/4HANA, they are interested in implementing a broader SAP portfolio. You can think of Aiden’s extensive solutions for industries such as retail, wholesale, and discrete manufacturing. In addition, Aiden has a strong cloud strategy that makes us a specialized one-stop-shop for SAP solutions. Thanks to Aiden’s position as a prominent SAP partner, we are now able to put our organization more firmly on the map in Belgium.”

Strengthen services in the real estate sector

In addition to expanding the organization, the takeover means that Aiden can strengthen its services in the field of real estate solutions, among other things. This is a market with complex problems that require a specialist solution. Nessi has developed a proposition for this based on a SaaS model. On the other hand, Nessi can benefit from the ‘Retail by Aiden’ solution, which allows wholesale distributors to integrate their own cloud-based POS system with their ERP environment. Furthermore, Aiden has in-house Mendix expertise with which low-code innovative solutions can be built and added to the existing SAP landscape.

Peter-Robin Mijderwijk, CEO of Aiden: “Nessi is an important asset to Aiden with a strong local footprint and in-depth expertise. This makes it a perfect choice to fulfill our growth ambitions in Belgium. The culture and personal way of working of both organizations fit well together, which is not obvious when you do business internationally.” Thanks in part to Aiden’s nearby offices in Breda, Boxtel and Eindhoven, Mijderwijk sees many opportunities for synergy between the teams, whereby customers can count on a local partner with world-class services and knowledge.

Nessi is Aiden’s first acquisition abroad. Mijderwijk expects to be able to add more international parties to its organization in the first quarter of this year. “To become a leading Western European SAP partner for the midmarket, we are focusing on organic growth, but we are looking for companies with the right people, culture, expertise, and quality that can strengthen Aiden. These factors are our strength and are central to our services.”

Deroo will continue to lead Aiden’s office in Belgium after the acquisition. “The acquisition by Aiden is a new beginning for me with plenty of opportunities. I’m pleased that the acquisition offers our employees the opportunity to share their knowledge and gain new knowledge with which they can continue to grow successfully within a larger organization.”
